WHAT IS PADI ?
PADI is the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, the world’s largest diver training organization. PADI establishes diver-training courses, teaching materials, diver training standards, as well as support for professional members and the underwater environment.

PADI SCUBA DIVER COURSE
This easy and exciting course has been designed especially for the holiday maker. The PADI Scuba Diver course is a pre-entry level certification that is perfect if you are short for time. As a sub-course to the PADI Open Water Diver course once certified you can dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional.

In only three days this course will teach you the practical knowledge and experience required for scuba diving including use of dive equipment and techniques.

PADI OPEN WATER DIVER COURSE & JUNIOR OPEN WATER DIVER COURSE
The PADI Open Water Diver Course is a five-day course full of adventure and fun!

Throughout the course, you will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving in a safe controlled environment, including use of dive equipment and techniques. Virtually anyone who is in good health, is reasonably fit and can comfortably swim 200 metres can earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification.

The course consists of three segments:
* Academics (Knowledge development & theory)
* Confined Water sessions
* Open Water Dives (4 Dives minimum)

Minimum age for participation is 15 years of age and all participants must complete a medical statement before commencement of the course. After successfully completing the course, you will receive your PADI Open Water Diver Certification. This will allow you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres.


The PADI Junior Open Water Diver Course is available for 10 – 14 year olds.
Course fundamentals are the same as above however, once qualified divers are restricted to diving with a certified parent or PADI Professional. Depth limitations are as follows:
Juniors 10 – 11 : 12 metres,
Juniors 12 – 14 : 18 metres.

PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER
The PADI Advanced Open Water program will take your diving to new dimensions. This 2 – 3 day course is ideally suited to follow straight on from the PADI Open Water Diver Course.

It fine tunes your dive skills and allows you to explore some of diving’s top adventures it includes five Open Water dives of which include two core dives and three elective dives.

The 2 core dives include:
- Deep Dive (18-30 metres)
- Underwater Navigation

After successfully completing the program you will receive your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification. This will allow you to participate in more advanced diving activities with a max depth limit of 30 metres.

PADI RESCUE DIVER
The PADI rescue diver course prepares you to help prevent, and if necessary, manage dive emergencies with a variety of techniques. The 2-day course will develop your knowledge and skills so you can effectively perform diver assists and rescues, manage diving accidents and render first aid. The subject is serious but the training is fun.

PADI DIVE MASTER
The PADI Divemaster Course is your first step towards becoming a professional diver. During this 10-day course you will learn and practise supervising diving activities and assisting with student training. PADI Dive centres and Resorts employ PADI Divemaster’s to help with classes as well as lead guided dive tours.
